MS. HOUGHTON

Welcome to the 2023-2024  school year at Iron Horse Elementary.  My name is Mary Michael Houghton, I go by the name Michael.  (Yes, I am female) and I will be teaching your child for their fifth-grade year.  This is my second year at Iron Horse, but this is my twelfth year in teaching. I’m very excited to be your child’s teacher for their last year of elementary school.  I will work closely with you to ensure that your child has a fun and successful year. 

 

I have a Bachelor’s Arts degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s Degree in Literacy.  I have twin daughters who are in college.  My family is a very important part of my life.  My favorite activities outside of teaching are traveling, reading, walking my golden retriever, enjoying our beautiful state of Colorado, and spending time with my friends and family.
